Trash The Dress Comes to Tampa

Wow!

We have had SO MUCH FUN getting our Trash the Dress Portfolio and site ready for you.

For those of you that haven't heard, Trash The Dress is a style of wedding photography (or anniversary photography - or even divorce photography) where after all the tension of the big event, the dress get's abused in a fun setting. The shoots can be pools, or the ocean, or jumping from a sailboat, someplace a bit grungy, like some spots in Ybor, or even just a fountain.

Some brides REALLY DO trash their dress. Some (let's be honest... MOST) actually go to Goodwill or Craigslist and get a "stand-in" gown so that they can have the fun of the shoot - and still preserve their wedding gown.

This style of wedding photography is far more demanding than anything ever presented by a normal wedding photography setting. In a wedding setting, there are standard poses, mostly controlled lighting, the perfect candid shots, but there is a great deal of control.

In order to produce amazing Trash The Dress Wedding Photography, you have to deal with constantly changing light, and incredibly fast action.. afterall.. once your are in a fountain.. there's no more chances to see you jump in for the first time. We will frequently bring on additional photographers to help capture the moment of maximum fun from multiple angles.

Check out all the fun we've had at our new site

Or visit our Facebook page

Or.. Check out our Twitter Feed!

Remember, you can have all the fun, and keep the dress.. We find Wedding Dresses on Craigslist for $50 for our brides. No-one will be looking at the dress.. they will be saying instead "I can't Believe You Did That... It Looks Like SO MUCH FUN!"

Painted Portraits by Robert Crum Photography

Painting from Cherished Photographs

Robert Crum uses your cherished photo to create a beautiful hand painted canvas. What a gift!

Unlike the majority of photograph to painting companies out there, Rob actually hand paints your canvas - it is not done by a computer program! Do you want a painting or a photograph on canvas? There really is a difference!

Robert Crum Photography
can take any photo you have and create a hand done painting for that place of honor on your wall. Not with a computer program but with an actual brush.

Creative custom photographs and portraits are transformed into heirloom paintings.

Michael came into Robert Crum's Studio the other day with this old wedding photo of his mother and father. Their anniversary was coming soon and he was wondering what he could do to create a special gift using the photo.

Rob suggested that he create a painting to freshen it up and paint over the area where the turkey used to be. Here is the final painting.

Tampa Photographer: Mother Daughter

Jane and Julie called to have some Professional Head Shots done for Jane's business and Julie's acting careers. We did the headshots that they had called about. Jane and Julie had such fun personalities, I suggested since Julie was leaving to go to college, they should do some fun Mother Daughter shots to remember the summer of 2010. Here is some of the exciting session at the Photography Studio of Robert Crum.

Casual Business Portrait

When we did this shoot in King Corona Cigar Bar, Chris had a couple goals in mind. He wanted a casual business portrait that could also become a portrait painting that was casual and showed personality. I think we accomplished this!

Robert Crum works from his photography studio in Tampa or on location in the Bay area.

Family Portrait - Does your family mean more to you than anything?

Portraits

Time brings change –children grow up, people grow older, things just don’t stay the same for long.

Don’t let time go by without making time for your family portrait. If your family means more to you than anything else, then you know your family portrait will become more valuable as time passes.

We all lead such busy lives - What a shame it would be to have no lasting record of the family as it is now, before things change.

A portrait is a lasting reminder of the quality time that the family spent together. To catch that feeling of closeness you get from being part of family.

It may seem difficult to get everyone together, but it is easier than you think - with Robert Crum Photography sessions are arranged at times that suit you to make the experience enjoyable – one you’ll remember with pleasure.

Lee Ann called to have a portrait done before her son returned to the navy. This relaxed portrait captures the bond of her family and will bring back wonderful memories for all.

Whether you live here or are visiting the Tampa area, take the time to create your family momento. Call Robert Crum to discuss your unique portrait and capture this moment in time.

Happy Tampa Bride

Wendi and Jeff called me and were interested in having me photograph their wedding. They were married on the lake in their backyard. Between them there are 8 children - 1 who was unable to attend. Getting shots with everyone looking their best is always challenging but include 6 teenagers and it is even more of a challenge. She was very pleased with the results.

Rob

Thank you so much for the wonderful pictures you took of our special day. I am sure that it is always difficult to get good family photographs but we are not your average family! We have rarely seen a photograph that has everyone smiling and you managed to get many of them. The whole family was impressed with the pictures. The grandparents can't wait to hang the family portraits! You got great family and wedding photographs all in the same day. I would highly recommend Robert Crum Photography to anyone looking for a family or wedding photographer.

Again, thank you!
